uncooked brown rice

purified water; cold

extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
Add the rice to a strainer or colander and rinse well.
In a large pot, add the rinsed rice, water, and olive oil and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add the lid and reduce heat to low, simmering for 40 mins.
Remove from heat with the lid on, allowing the rice to finish steaming and setting up.
Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
