Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked brown rice
  • 2 cups purified water; cold
  • 1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Add the rice to a strainer or colander and rinse well.
  • In a large pot, add the rinsed rice, water, and olive oil and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add the lid and reduce heat to low, simmering for 40 mins.
  • Remove from heat with the lid on, allowing the rice to finish steaming and setting up.
  • Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
