Ingredients

  • 1 cup lentils; brown or green
  • 3 cup purified water
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt

Instructions

  • Boil the water in a medium pot over high heat.
  • Add lentils to a colander and sift through to remove any debris.
  • Rinse well under cold water, and then add to the boiling pot of water.
  • Set timer for 10 minutes and keep checking every couple of minutes, as not to over cook them.
  • Strain and add back to the pot to add in any other spices as you see fit.
  • Add 1 Tbs of olive oil for more flavor and to prevent sticking.
