
Savory Lentils
Course: Protein, Side Dish
Ingredients
- 1 cup lentils; brown or green
- 3 cup purified water
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
Instructions
- Boil the water in a medium pot over high heat.
- Add lentils to a colander and sift through to remove any debris.
- Rinse well under cold water, and then add to the boiling pot of water.
- Set timer for 10 minutes and keep checking every couple of minutes, as not to over cook them.
- Strain and add back to the pot to add in any other spices as you see fit.
- Add 1 Tbs of olive oil for more flavor and to prevent sticking.
