Sweet & Savory Pecan Butter

Equipment
- rimmed baking sheet
- Vitamix or Blendtec
- measuring cups
- Measuring Spoons

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c pecans; raw
- 2 tsp real maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan sea salt
Optional - mix in for a smoother pecan butter
- 3 T unrefined coconut oil
Instructions
STEP 1
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Evenly spread the pecans out on the rimmed baking sheet
- Toast the pecans for about 8 minutes, but be watching closely as they can burn easily.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.
STEP 2
- Add pecans to the food processor and process for 5-10 minutes.
- Scrape the sids of the food processor to reincorporate. Blend again quickly.
STEP 3
- Add in all of the other ingredients and process until you reach the desired consistency.
- If it thickens you can optionally add in up to 3 Tbs of coconut oil. Process again until smooth.
SERVE & ENJOY
- You may transfer to a bowl and serve immediately, otherwise the pecan butter may be stored in a small jar or container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or up to a week in the fridge. ENJOY!!
