- 1 c cabbage; green shredded
- 1/4 c purified water
- 1/2 c GF all purpose flour
- 3 Tbs cornstarch; non gmo
- 1/2 c green onions chopped
- 1/4 c onion; white chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 3 cloves garlic minced or pressed
- 1 tsp red chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
Take a large mixing bowl and add all the ingredients, except the oil for frying.
Mix well using a spoon or whisk.
Heat the oil to Medium High and turn it down slightly if it starts smoking.
One way to test if the oil is ready for frying is to flick a drop of water into the oil. It will pop and crackle if it is hot enough.
Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, make a ball on a plate and then use your fingers to tap it and flatten it down some
Once you have a few of the fritters formed, add to the hot oil and fry them until a nice golden brown on both sides. Be mindful and try to give even amounts of time on all sides of the fritter.
Remove them from the oil and place on a plate with a paper towel to absorb some of the oil. Serves well with the Chinese Dipping Sauce. Enjoy!!
