Ingredients
Step 1
- 32 oz purified water; cold
- 1 c hibiscus; dried flowers 1 cup = 2 oz
Step 2
- 2 each wine glasses
- 1 cup ice about 6 cubes per glass
- 1/2 cup hibiscus cooler concentrate from step 1 & 2
- 1 tsp rose water
- 6 oz white grape juice
- 5 oz Ocean Spray 100% Cranberry Juice
- 2 tsp real maple syrup
- 1 cup club soda or sparkling water 4 oz per glass
GARNISHING
- 1 pinch hibiscus; dried flowers or dried rose petals
Instructions
Step 1 - boil and steep
- Boil water and add the dried hibiscus to the pot. Steep on medium heat with a lid on for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely in the pot without the lid on,
- Once cooled, strain into a glass jar using a mesh strainer (and a mason jar funnel if you have one).
- This will make extra of the hibiscus concentrate. It may be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week, or you can freeze for at least a month.
Step 2 - build & sweeten
- Add the STEP 2 ingredients to a pitcher in the order listed
Step 3 - build in wine glasses
- Take 2 wine glasses and add 6 ice cubes to each.
- Pour the beverage evenly between the glasses and add a tiny sprinkle or the dried rose or hibiscus petals. Serve & Enjoy!
